Pauls Early Life living on Hasting Street…

Paul’s early life was living right on Main Beach, Hasting Street a far cry from what Hasting Street is today. Life on Hasting St was a permanent beach holiday living with his parents and grand parents at Tatchers Caravan Park.

His parents Denise and the late Geoff Roberts managed Thatchers Caravan Park for his grand parents Ben and Esme Thatcher. At that stage in the 1970’s Noosa Heads and Hasting Street was a small community and Paul was well known to the local residents.

Paul has lived in the Noosa area all his life.

Some history about Hasting Street Noosa Head an Thatchers Caravan Park

Thatchers caravan park was on the current site used by Rococo’s Restaurant and the Emerald Apartments behind. Alongside the Hasting street Police station.

Pauls grand father (Ben) was very forward thinking for the 1960’s filling the site with over 2 meters of sand and topped with lawn. Included was underground power supply to the van sites, and amenity blocks of hot and cold showers, laundry facilities and toilets with septic tanks.
